The proven six-phased process outlined below has helped thousands of clients implement quickly and achieve meaningful results with the ESS data management solution. For each phase, you can draw from a talented pool of resources to achieve each task, including your internal EH&S and IT professionals, ESS professional consultants, and ESS implementation partners.

Phase I – Project Kickoff

A project kickoff meeting will assure that the Professional Services team fully understands your business requirements and that you understand the implementation process. The project kickoff meeting will result in a project charter which identifies the key players on the project team and the definition of success with the ESS solution. This phase culminates with the installation of the software.

Phase II – Solution Definition and Design

Here we focus on mapping out the solution design that best meets your business needs. We begin with Project Team Training to assure that all members of your project team know the capabilities of the "out-of-the-box" ESS solution. Afterwards, we will review your current process, define how your workflow connects with your ESS solution and outline plans for system integration and tailoring. This phase results in the drafting of a detailed project plan and Statement of Work.

Phase III – Solution Configuration

Now we begin carrying out the plan defined in Phase II. The system will be fully configured with foundational data, including the transfer of any historical data. Custom training media will be developed during this phase.

Phase IV – Acceptance Testing and Training

ESS will walk key users through the standard system use to assure that daily activities can be performed effectively. After successful completion of this acceptance testing, end users will be trained on system use and their responsibilities in the business process.

Phase V – Go Live!

Your new solution is released for use! During this phase, ESS can provide on-site support to structure announcements and meetings for the "go live" day of each product and assure that immediate assistance is provided to end users. This phase culminates with an Implementation Wrap Up meeting to review successes and tie up any loose ends.

Phase VI – Continuous Improvement

All solutions require continuous improvements to assure success over the long term. We typically conduct a Post Implementation Audit one year after the initial "go live" date. This service reviews what’s working with your solution and where improvements need to occur to assure maximum operational efficiency.
