Office will also enable market leader to meet growing demand for EH&S software across the region

TEMPE, Ariz. - June 28, 2007 - ESS, the leading provider of Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) and Crisis Management software for Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), announced today the opening of a new office in Houston that will position the company to provide enhanced service and support to its many area customers.

The new office, located at 12 Greenway Plaza, also will enhance ESS' ability to meet increasing interest in integrated EH&S and Crisis information management software and services among area organizations.

"Now is clearly the right time for us to expand to the Gulf Coast region," said Robert Johnson, ESS President/CEO. "Our new location will enable ESS to keep our commitment to provide outstanding service and support to our growing Houston-area customer base."

ESS has provided EH&S and Crisis Management software to Houston-area businesses for many years. ESS clients in the region include industry leaders such as Halliburton, ConocoPhillips, Celanese Corporation, Lyondell Houston Refining, Cheniere Energy, Spectra Energy. Albemarle Corporation, Westlake Chemical Corporation, Shell Chemical, LP, Sasol North America, Champion Technologies, Chemtura, Huntsman Corporation and Total Petrochemicals.

"Environmental, health and safety risk management matters used to be delegated to individual plant managers," Johnson, said. "Today accountability for EH&S management rests in the corporate executive suite, as investors and analysts now regard EH&S performance as an important benchmark for corporate viability. In addition, more enterprises are using information management tools for centralized management of EH&S issues."

ESS has recently enjoyed significant growth, with software license sales through April increasing 200 percent in 2007 as compared to the same period last year, preceded by record growth in 2006. This trend is being driven by increased corporate interest in environmental stewardship, health and safety and sustainability issues. A recent survey by AMR Research indicated that 62 percent of U.S. managers plan to invest in information management systems within two years to execute against their corporate governance policies and social responsibility initiatives.
