Calgary, Alberta - May 18, 2007 - Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) and professionals, CIOs and IT professionals and other business executives will learn how new enterprise-level information systems can help them achieve their strategic goals for Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) at an upcoming seminar sponsored by ESS, the leading global provider of software for EHS and Crisis Management.

The seminar, entitled Best Practices in EHS for Governance, Risk and Compliance, will take place June 11 at 5 p.m. at the Bow Valley Club, 370, 250- 6th Ave. S.W. in Calgary. It will feature a panel of industry experts who will explore opportunities for reducing costs and boosting productivity by using advanced global and local information systems to manage compliance and risk across organizations.

Specifically, seminar speakers will look at how a new generation of market-leading solutions – Essential Suite® from ESS – can help companies leverage their EHS data to assure regulatory compliance, reduce operational risks and achieve the highest standards of corporate governance. These experts will demonstrate how the newly released ESS platform's enterprise hierarchy data management, enterprise security capabilities and simultaneous multilingual access help organizations meet urgent demands for stronger GRC management in the area of EHS.

"Many companies are using manual processes or legacy systems that require a significant investment in staff resources to complete their environmental reporting requirements," said Robert Johnson, ESS President/CEO. "We look forward to the opportunity to demonstrate how ESS can help Canadian professionals meet the ever increasing demand for regulatory reporting to strengthen their environmental compliance, including NPRI."

NPRI, the National Pollutant Reporting Inventory, mandates that Canadian companies report information annually on releases and transfers to land, water and air emissions.

Attendees are encouraged to register for the seminar before the June 6 deadline. Online registration is available, or for more information email the conference registrar or call 800-289-6116 ext. 5519.
