New Executive Will Develop Programs to Support Continued

TEMPE, Ariz. - October 26, 2006 - ESS, the leading provider of operational risk management software and services for environmental, health and safety (EH&S) and crisis management, has appointed Deborah Wahl, SPHR, as Human Resources Director, announced Robert Johnson, ESS President/CEO.
Wahl will be responsible for all facets of human resources management at ESS, including recruiting, internal training programs, employee relations, review processes, benefits management, and the long-term strategic direction of human resource functions.
Wahl, who holds an undergraduate degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato, has 20 years experience in human resource management and has served as an international conference speaker on human resource and career management issues. She has established a strong reputation for developing innovative HR programs for growing companies, including contractor Wespac Construction, and law firms Gallagher & Kennedy of Phoenix, and Robins, Kaplan, Miller and Ciresi of Minneapolis. Her achievements include chairing an effort to draft workplace violence legislation, which was enacted into Arizona law in 2001. Wahl is a former president of the Valley of the Sun Human Resource Association.
