Our Crisis Management, Ozone Depletion and Waste Management solutions were the first of their kind in the industry, and still lead the field. Today, we have continued this tradition of innovation through the development of a robust, scalable set of suites that offer multiple "best of breed" modules, for use as fully integrated solutions or stand-alone products.

Environmental Support Solutions was incorporated in August of 1993 with a software product that organized and automated new EPA-imposed regulatory recordkeeping requirements for ozone-depleting chemicals, such as those used in heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air-conditioning. The company quickly established market dominance in the refrigerant management niche.

By 1999, the company was operating under a scalable business model that led to a series of carefully planned strategic acquisitions designed to strengthen our product portfolio and enable the organization to expand into complementary disciplines. Among those acquisitions were Wixel, Inc., and RMS Systems, Inc., in 2001, and Essential Technologies and Jordan Systems, Inc., in 2002.

The parent company has now merged the best elements of these holdings into one cohesive corporate entity – ESS. Under this structure, ESS continues building on its position as the leading provider of integrated software and services – information management tools that transform EH&S and Crisis Management data into regulatory reporting and business enhancing performance metrics that drive operational expenses and risk out of your organization.
